How can I reach in Nepal?

Nepal can be easy reached by Air and Land. There is daily flight from America & Europe. If there is not direct flight from your city than you can take connecting flight to Nepal via other airports like Middle East, Bangkok, New Delhi etc. Tourist coming from India can enter in Nepal through various check point in southern plains.

Can I get a VISA on arrival?

You can obtain your entry visa at Kathmandu airport upon arrival or Consulate in your country. You need 2 passport size photos and the visa fee is USD 25 for up to 15 days, US$ 40 up to 30 days and US$ 100 up to 100 days with multi-entry.

Will somebody come to pick up at airport on arrival?

A representative from Himalayan Yatri will come to pick up you, outside of Terminal Hall displaying a card of Himalayan Yatri with your name on it.

What is a camping trek?

Camping trek goes to more remote area where there are no houses, lodges facilities. Camping means sleeping in tent and we provide a tent on sharing basis. So, be sure that you have your own warm sleeping bag with you. We will have full of our trekking crew like Guide (Sirdar), Assistant Guide (Sherpas), Cook, Kitchen helper and Porters to take care you on the trek. We provide Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with verities of local foods, Tea, coffee, dessert and western dishes cooked by our experienced Himalayan cook during your trek.

What is a Tea-house/lodge trek?

Tea-house/lodge trek means sleeping and eating in local Tea-house or local lodge. We serve the food on the basis of the menu and they offer the varieties of typical local foods like potatoes, rice with lentils, noodles, soup, seasonal vegetables, curry, different style of eggs, bread. Drinks like Beer, Cola, and local alcohol are often available but that will be at your own cost except Tea and coffee. Room are basic just a bed with blanket and pillow. So, you need to take a warm sleeping bag with you.

Do I require trekking permit during the trek?

Trekking Information Management System (TIMS) card, Conservation or National parks permits are required for regular trekking route like Everest, Annapurna and Langtang region. But there are few restricted trekking areas in Nepal, where trekking permits are required.

Do I need a Guide? Can I trek without Guide?

Both ways are possible in many places in Nepal but we suggest you to trek through a company and they manage a Guide, Porter and all other official documents for you. You don’t have to worry about logistics, won’t risk about getting lost in the Himalayas and any other emergency arise, they will be well take care of you.

Do I have to carry my back pack (Rucksack)?

For safety of your personal property Rucksack is highly recommended. Your back pack (Rucksack) should be 40-45 liters; there you can put your personal belongings like raincoat, jacket, sun glasses, sun block, sun hat, map, water bottle, money belt, camera etc.

How much weight do I allow for my porter?

One porter can carry two luggage of our client. One client should have maximum of 15 kg of luggage including their sleeping bag and other accessories. So, it means that one porter will carry maximum 30 kilos (kg) during the trek.

What level of physical fitness do I need for the trek?

You need to do few weeks of training prior arriving in Nepal which leads your journey more comfortable. With the full of preparation before trekking in Himalayas would make your journey more rewarding. Try to spend some hours in your Alps; hike to the upstairs, jogging or running (optional) few miles or (15-16 km) every day will probably best physical activity, which will be the more effective when you are in Nepal for trekking.
